The Sandbox and Cube Bring K-Culture to the Metaverse

The Sandbox has announced an official partnership with Cube Entertainment, a South Korean record label and entertainment agency for numerous K-Pop artists and bands, in an effort to promote Korean culture to the rest of the globe. The Sandbox’s parent company, Animoca Brands, has also established a joint venture with Cube Entertainment, called the AniCube. This joint venture represents a strategy to introduce and celebrate K-Culture in the Web3 environment.

Going forward, a K-Culture complex owned by Cube Entertainment will be created in The Sandbox metaverse. A wide range of events will be held in this complex, allowing users to virtually experience K-Culture from anywhere in the world. The K-Culture introduced within the complex will include architecture, traditional experiences, and entertainment like the global music phenomenon, K-Pop. According to Animoca Brands, K-Pop will be the driving force behind the partnership’s potential success.

With this partnership, The Sandbox will provide the needed technical support for projects and implementation, while Cube Entertainment will prepare various K-Culture content via numerous partnerships with other Korean companies. Artists under the Cube Entertainment banner, such as BTOB, Jo Kwon, and (G)I-DLE, will also be able to join and promote their activities in the metaverse platform.
