Acura enters the Metaverse with a virtual auto showroom

Acura is launching a digital showroom and its first limited edition NFT in the Decentraland metaverse on 22 March. The initiative is done to promote and accompany the return to the market of Acura Integra 2023.

While Alfa Romeo and Lamborghini were the first to produce a non-fungible token (FT) to go along with a new vehicle, Acura is the first automaker to launch a digital showroom in the Metaverse.

Running throughout March Madness, Acura’s metaverse activation will give the first 500 customers who reserve the Acura Integra 2023 the opportunity to claim the limited edition NFT. The NFTs are exclusively designed by 3D artist Andreas Wannerstedt and will include surreal colors and textures the artist is known for. Each NFT will serve a unique artistic representation of the Acura Integra 2023. Reservations for this Integra model opened on 10 March.

Within the Acura digital showroom in Decentraland, visitors can explore the new 2023 Integra and experience its key vehicle features, which include a powerful turbocharged engine and six-speed manual transmission. Visitors will also be able to browse Integra wearables, which are also created in partnership with Wannerstedt. Furthermore, there will be an exclusive Acura racing game called “Beat That,” and other interactive rooms and activities that players can enjoy. In order to enter the Acura of Decentraland digital showroom, visitors don’t have to own NFT.
