Vice Opens Its Virtual Working Hub in Decentraland

Two major names in online media and architecture, Vice Media Group and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), are teaming up to launch a virtual HQ called the Viceverse in the Decentraland metaverse. BIG is the pioneering architectural firm behind Google's Mountain View North campus and The Pyramid in Manhattan.

Viceverse will serve as the hub of innovation for the company’s digital creative culture agency, Virtue. Within this space, the teams can experiment with NFTs, DAOs, and Web3. Additionally, the newly-open digital construction will also function as a new virtual office for Virtue. According to Vice, the creation of this virtual HQ wilts by Dre.

BIG’s design for the Viceverse is very unique. The building centers around a parametric wayfinding tunnel that’s embedded into a large cube. To begin with, the structure will consist of two floors and a secret one. As the project develops, ten new floors can be added since the building is designed to be 12 floors tall.

Visitors will find an NFT gallery on the first floor. The space will also have a range of interactive and functional spaces where peer-mentorship and pitch meetings can be done in real-time. Additionally, Viceverse has spaces reserved explicitly for experiments with DAOs and Web3 technology.
