Snoop Dogg announces concert in The Sandbox

Snoop Dogg, also known as non-fungible token (NFT) collector Cozomo de' Medici, is planning to hold a virtual metaverse concert in The Sandbox later this year. This was announced by Arthur Madrid, the CEO and co-founder of The Sandbox.

There is not much info out about the concert yet, but as confirmed by Madrid, it's in the works. Concert in the Metaverse allows artists like Snoop Dogg to perform anywhere in the world, with fans attending from their homes. Furthermore, fans who attend the concert can still interact with others in the concert's shared virtual space.

Besides the virtual concert announcement, Snoop Dogg also released an official music video for his song 'House I Built.' In a press release shared with CryptoSlate by Animoca Brands, the 'House I Built' music video is the "very first music video produced in The Sandbox Metaverse."

The 'House I Built' track draws a parallel between how I've constructed my life and career and how I'm building out my Snoopverse virtual world in The Sandbox. Whether in the metaverse or the universe, it's about keeping it real, being yourself, and making the most of every opportunity," says Snoop Dogg.

Within the video, a number of voxel characters Snoop Dogg has created, as well as other characters in The Sandbox and buildings that are part of the SnoopVerse, can be seen. Snoop Dogg himself is represented as a pixelated 3D avatar. Additionally, the clip also features special guests, including DJs Steve Aoki and Blondish.
